Fawn Mckay

Fawn Brodie McKay was born on September 15, 1915, was raised in Ogden Utah. She was a member of the Mormon Church's first family Fawn McKay devoted her brilliant literary talents and remarkable research skills to creating the brilliant psycho-historical biography of Joseph Smith, published in 1945, entitled"No Man knows My History. This title was inspired by the funeral sermon given by Joseph Smith who was the founder of The Church of Latter-Day Saints. His audience was shocked by his saying: "You don't even know my name. There is no way to know my feelings." Nobody knows my story. No one knows my history. Fawn an older woman, aged 29 wrote: "Since that moment of candor, at least three writers have taken on the task." They do not have a lack of documents however they contradict each the other. It's a daunting task to put together these documents by separating the first-hand versions from third-hand copies and fitting Mormon stories with other ones into a coherent collage. It is both exciting and informative. It's a task which Fawn Brodie put her professional energy into. Her research and writings earned her fame all over all over the globe: Thaddeus Stephens. "The Devil's Road" (1959) The Southern Scourge. Thomas Jefferson. Richard Nixon, An Intimate history (1974), posthumous.
