Anya Taylor Joy is a 16 year old American born in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a Psychotherapist. His father is an Argentine with Scottish as well as English heritage. Her mother is of Spanish and English roots. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's prior marriage. They were initially located in Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of 6 when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor Joy admitted that the transition from Buenos aires to Victoria was difficult, and she did not learn English, hoping to go home to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she moved from Northlands. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School to study ballet and act in the school's productions. After she turned 16years old, Taylor-Joy left the school to focus her full-time acting career. Taylor-Joy had a destiny to become an actress from a very young age. She realized her dream when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
