Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu, an American voice actor, producer as well as an outstanding actress. She is an attractive, talented actress who has helped many Asian actors to succeed in Hollywood. Following a string of early performances in popular shows her fame was boosted by joining the crew of the cult comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the villainous Ling Woo. The fame she gained from the show was translated into film roles such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. In Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave a stunning performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren Shii. Around this same time, she also starred in box-office failures including Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated movies such as Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and many others, she voiced prominent characters. Mia Mason's tiny screen role in Cashmere Mafia did not produce the desired results. Southland's highly praised police show, Southland and a recurring performance helped Liu to reestablish herself as an established actor. Liu selects her roles with utmost care so as to avoid being typecast in a competitive industry. While she's proud of her heritage however, she is not letting the fact that she is from China limit her creative abilities.
